Onishi-So tandem in Petron Ladies Beach 3rd leg

THE 2010 Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament returns to Lingayen, Pangasinan this weekend.

Sharah So will be back in this leg, which will be held in the beach front of Purok Marcelo Resort, along with Khryzette Onishi for Ateneo.

So and Onishi are hoping to duplicate the feat of Asia Urquico and Jessica Morado, who lifted the Lady Eagles to the first leg championship last February.

The winsome Ateneo pair is expected to face stiff opposition against defending champion Jennifer Manzano and new partner Satchel Senupe of La Salle-Dasmarinas.

Also seeing action are Dyrene Rose Benecio and Mariel Legaspi, along with University of the East campaigners Pia Sarmiento and Aurea Racraquin, Far Eastern University standouts Loryvel Faytaren and Janine Penaranda.

FEU bets Shedd de Pena and Shaira Gonzalez will also make their presence felt, along with the lanky Yari Yongco and Giselle Bembo of DLSU-Dasmarinas.

DLSU-D bets Aileen Abuel and Hidemi Miyata will also try their luck.

Gonzalez is returning to beach volleyball.  In the 2007 UAAP beach volleyball tournament, she led the Lady Tamaraws to a championship with Wendy Semana. (TJ)
